Lillian Butler Davey was a long time Greenwich resident devoted to the community. A board member of the Greenwich Boys and Girls Club for over a decade, she was well known in the community for having strong convictions and a firm dedication to chartiy. She is the namesake of the Lillian Butler Davey foundation, which distributes grants to community programs and provides scholarship awards to Greenwich High School students in several writing categories.
Lillian was very closely involved in the community's efforts to ensure that the Seabury House, part of a Great Estate called The Orchards, was not sold to developers. This was a cause that she dedicated herself to with a passion and one that was ultimately successful.
