Lee/McNall Family Papers

 Collection — Container: Box 1
Identifier: A.1989.29-A.1999.29

Scope and Contents

The Lee/McNall Family Papers are two interfiled collections of related families, the McNall family and the Lee family. This collection is split into four series, biographical and genealogical materials, correspondence, legal documents, and photographs. The biographical and genealogical materials series contains two folders, one of basic genealogical research of the modern family, and the second of miscellaneous family materials documenting their movements and some genealogical history. The correspondence series is split by type, one folder of correspondence to George G. McNall, and the rest correspondence from McNall. Not all of the correspondence is readable, due to water damage before the collection came to us. The legal documents series is primarily comprised of a folder of deeds that were in some capacity overseen by George G. McNall through his legal work. It also includes a folder of correspondence and legal documents regarding the McNall family plot at Woodlawn Cemetery after the death of George McNall had the property transferred to his nephew Robert A. Lee. The photograph series is comprised of three folders, primarily of the families and individuals, but including three photographs of the Maher Brothers Corporation trucks and businesses.
