Biographical / Historical

The Ives family has been settled in Connecticut for many generations, and has been well known for just as long. The Ives Manufacturing Company, Edward Carter Ives, and even Currier & Ives company just to name a few are all the same familial line. Candee Weed, nee Ives, was born in Greenwich and donated this material to the Greenwich Historical Society. Born to World War II veteran and submariner Edward Carter Ives, she grew up in Greenwich and returned later in life, remaining until her death in 2022. The materials in this collection were compiled by her through communication with her relatives and her own research.
