This collection consists of the personal papers of Frances Chmielowiec Geraghty along with historical materials that she maintained. The Electrolux Factory Newsletters Series include newsletters collected by Mrs. Geraghty while employed with the corporation during World War II and beyond, 1946-1962. Missing months are noted in finding aid. Geraghty’s Personal Materials include her diaries and journals along with her personal artifacts. The Correspondences series is organized by sender and includes important letters from Frances Geraghty’s family and close friends. Many of these letters were sent during World War II and after (1935-2000). Family and Historical Materials include Chielowiec genealogy records, as well as historical records of Greenwich (including tax information), Glenville, and the American Felt Company (1814-1988). The Greeting Cards, Postcards, and Letters Series include correspondences from miscellaneous acquaintances that were bundled together in bulk, and in no particular order (approx. 1939-2000).
